Calibration & Metrology Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Define and run kinematic, camera and IMU calibration procedures.
• Own measurement equipment, traceability and calibration schedules.
• Build the calibration cell used on every unit leaving the line.
• Analyse unit-to-unit variation and feed it back into design.

Requirements

Metrology or calibration engineering; robot kinematic calibration; laser trackers, CMMs or photogrammetry; statistical analysis of measurement data.

Where you would work

The UK humanoid lab and assembly line: MOTHER EXO robotics design, build and test, coming online Q1 2027 and targeting 1,000 robots a year on a sovereign supply chain.

The Manchester factory comes online Q1 2027. Roles are recruited ahead of that date, with start dates agreed individually.
