Mechanical Design Engineer (Humanoid Structures)

Key responsibilities

• Produce CAD, drawings and tolerance stacks for structural and housing assemblies.
• Run FEA on load paths, stiffness and fatigue; iterate toward mass targets.
• Own design for manufacture and assembly with the production team.
• Support prototype builds and drive design changes from build feedback.

Requirements

Mechanical design to production; strong CAD and GD&T; FEA; composites or advanced materials experience welcome; DFM/DFA in a volume environment.

Where you would work

The UK humanoid lab and assembly line: MOTHER EXO robotics design, build and test, coming online Q1 2027 and targeting 1,000 robots a year on a sovereign supply chain.

The Manchester factory comes online Q1 2027. Roles are recruited ahead of that date, with start dates agreed individually.
