Robot Safety Engineer (Guardian & Functional Safety)
Own the safety case for a machine that moves under its own decisions - including the L4 Guardian signed action filter that can veto any motion.
Key responsibilities
- Own the functional safety architecture, hazard analysis and risk assessment.
- Specify and verify the Guardian action filter and independent red-line limits.
- Drive compliance with machinery and robot safety standards.
- Own the audit trail: what the robot did, why, and what stopped it.
Requirements
Functional safety engineering; ISO 12100, ISO 10218 or ISO 13849 / IEC 61508 practice; hazard analysis; safety-critical software and independent protective layers.
